Foreign Policy opened on a bill with four other one-act plays at Terry's Theatre, London, on June 3, 1893. The other plays were: Becky Sharp, by James Barrie; Bud and Blossom, by Lady Colin Campbell; An Interlude, by Walter H. Pollock and Mrs. W.K. Clifford); The Three Wayfarers, adapted by Thomas Hardy from his short story "The Three Strangers".
